Recipe: No-bake Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

2 c. sugar
1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oatmeal

1. Combine sugar, cocoa, milk and butter in saucepan, and bring to a boil.
2. Boil for two minutes.
3. Add salt and vanilla.
4. Stir in peanut butter until smooth.
5. Add oatmeal.
6. Drop on wax paper.
7. Allow to chill for two hours.

Best with lots of milk.

Recipe: Coffee Cake

Ingredients

Dough

2 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup water or milk
egg
2 tablespoons sugar

Topping

1/3 cup Bisquick
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Grease a deep pie plate, 8”x8” square pan, or 9”x9” square pan.

  3. Mix dough incredients and put in baking dish.

  4. Mix topping ingredients with a fork or pastry mixer until crumbly.

  5. Spread topping mix over dough and drag a butter knife across like you were making a tic-tac-toe board several times.

  6. Bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Allow 5 minutes to cool. Tell no one it is ready. If they ask, tell them it burned.
  8. Consume.

Best with coffee

Recipe: Chilaquiles

Ingredients:

6 tostadas
4 eggs
1/2 can of El Pato enchilada sauce
1/2 cup Mozzarella or Cojita cheese
1/4 cup of onions
3 tbsp. vegetable oil

1. Heat oil in frying pan at medium setting
2. Break tostadas into chip-size pieces and place in the pan; stir for 2 minute
3. Add eggs on top of tostadas, stir until eggs become scrambled with the tostadas.
4. Add El Pato enchilada sauce and continue stirring until the tostada-egg mixture are covered in sauce.
5. Add onion and cheese, continuing to stir until the cheese is melted.
6. Shout “BREAKFAST IS READY.”
7. Enjoy.
